Be sure to measure your body, do not measure over shirts or slacks.
Bust – With arms relaxed down at the sides, measure around the fullest part of the bust, under your arms, and keep the tape parallel to the floor.
Shirt Waist – Bend to one side to find the natural crease of your waist. Measure at this point keeping tape parallel to the floor and comfortable around your waist.
Trousers Waist – Slight down to the shirtwaist, measure at this point keeping tape parallel to the floor and comfortable around your trouser’s waist.
Hips – Stand with heels together, and measure around the fullest part of your hips (about 8 inches from your waist).
Shirt Length – Run a tape measure from the shoulder, over the fullest part of the bust, down through the required point.
Sleeve Length – With the arm bent 90 degrees, place a hand on the hip. Start at the corner of the shoulder to the elbow, then down to the wrist.
Trousers Length – Measure similar-style pants that fit you well. Measure from the waistband to the hem.
